2 Samuel 15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
I always notice too, just how short these prayers are...sheesh and even Yeshua had really short things here and there. To me they are prayers. Like how long did this take to say? How many seconds
Matthew 11:25.At that time Yeshua answered and said, "I thank you my Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and you have revealed them to infants.
The longest prayer by Yeshua took how long? John 17 I love that prayer.there is so much to learn from it. What prayer did He give disciples...The Lords prayer how long does it take to even say it? He didn't want what they did in their religion.
God wants your heart mind soul...Matthew 22:37 Yeshua said to him, "You shall love THE LORD JEHOVAH your God from all your heart and from all your soul and from all your power and from all your mind.” . So give it to Him and move on, He says to ask, ask Him to help you with these things. Yeshua sure pointed out how simple it was...and God doesn't change Mal 3:6 , so am sure there were those in OT that did this.
Well did a search on “tongue” lots of interesting scriptures...didn't see where God ask for it at all...
What came to me about David...is that he cried to the Lord about it. A king. Then of course Moses separating a people to God... a retired king? Not really as God put him on a throne in Aramaic, Yeshua mentions.
Mt 23:1-2 Then Yeshua spoke with the crowds and with his disciples: 2 "The Scribes and the Pharisees have sat on the throne of Moses.”
De 32:15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
De 33:5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
De 33:26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
Yet God put Moses on a throne of the people of God....sounds like more than a king to me...but then who am I... I typically don't live in OT. Yeshua didn't lead people in war...but He did this:
Matthew 10:34.Think not that I have come to bring peace in the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
So then what is all the being good and blessing other people about? Well you can have all the blessing you want...that is not salvation!! To my knowledge in OT...God never sent people to preach to other nations...they were strangers that desired to live with them. Yeshua did however send them... so that was a new thing to me...but what did He say about it:
Yoh 6:37 "Everyone whom my Father has given me shall come to me, and whoever will come to me I shall not cast out.”
Yoh 6:44 "No man can come to me, unless The Father who has sent me will draw him, and I shall raise him in the last day.”
Yoh 6:65 And he said to them, "Because of this, I said to you that no man can come to me unless it has been given to him from my Father.”
This was not forced on anyone... so I don't know.. I do believe I have asked the Father to draw people to Yeshua...as I have found none that even know His words they are always quoting Paul....they are quick to quote that wolf.
He gave so little for people to know and do I trust more Matthew and Yohannan, as Mark we don't know author, and Luke walked with Paul, so I look for 2 witnesses with these texts. It just breaks my heart that people are everywhere else.
